The Art & Science of Film Making

Andreas Anestis is an assistant professor of Biological Sciences at the Division of Technology and Sciences of the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT) and teaching stuff at the Medical School of Aristotle University. He holds a PhD in Biology (BSc) and a second PhD in Film Studies (BA, MA). His research and academic interests are related to both the fields of Biological Sciences (stress biochemistry/physiology, environmental health, prevention strategies, epidemiology) and Arts & Humanities (perception of cinematic audiovisual synthesis, film aesthetics, theology). He has 17 published papers with more than 450 citations. He has received awards and scholarships from various Foundations including the Greek state Scholarship Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Alexandros Onassis Foundation.
