How should we decide which test my child takes?
There is no restriction to taking both tests. Decisions should be based on participant's familiarity with both concepts.

What tests do students take in the CTY Greece Talent Search?
SCAT: The test contains math and verbal sections. It's an above-grade-level test. Levels are based on students' age and are separated into elementary (grades 2-3), intermediate (grades 4-5) and advanced (grades 6-9).
STB: It's a test for students who understand and remember the spatial relationships among objects and prefer visual images and graphic displays over text. Available for students grades 6-9.
