Genetics…now that explains it all!

How are our characteristics inherited? Why do some traits skip a generation? Why does one person have curly hair while another straight hair? How can a child have blue eyes when both parents have brown ones? Can members of the same family have different blood types?  Why are tricolor cats almost always female? How come there are so many shades of eye, hair and skin color?

If you are Interested in finding out the answers to such questions, let’s do it together, through an introductory course on heredity! During this 2-hour workshop we will learn about concepts such as heterozygosity and homozygosity, dominant and recessive allele traits, genotypes and phenotypes. We’ll also find out about the kinds of information our bodies carry and learn how to make our own family tree!
